Ghost Town, Anyone?

It saddens me that the smart film, Ghost Town, got so little attention. Maybe the trailers didn’t do the film justice? I was very impressed with the clever script, which has some terrific one-liners. I also thought Tea Leoni was wonderful. Why doesn’t she get more film work? She comes across as intelligent and witty and she’s certainly beautiful! Hollywood – we need more Tea Leoni films! I wasn’t familiar with the work of Ricky Gervais but his character in Ghost Townwas enjoyably sarcastic and it was fun to watch his growth as he fell in love. Adding Greg Kinnear to the mix as the ghost, who only Ricky Gervais’s character can see, makes the film a winner! Think a modern Blithe Spirit meets a comedic version of  The Sixth SenseGhost Town is what I was hoping Over Her Dead Body would be but the later  film clearly missed the mark.

Ghost Town rating 8.5/10
